To inspire and enable all youth, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
The Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Empire consists of four separate units that accommodate the different school systems in our area. Every location provides a safe environment staffed by caring adult mentors and volunteers.
Club members ages 5 to 18 enjoy after-school and summer programs that allow them to develop lasting friendships and empower them to make great futures a reality.
All Boys & Girls Club programs are based on a youth development strategy that builds self-confidence and self-esteem and fosters a sense of belonging, competence, usefulness, and influence.
The Five Key Elements for Positive Youth Development are
All of our programs are designed to accomplish three key goals for our youth:
For all youth members to graduate from high school ready for college, trade school, the military, or employment.
For all youth members to become engaged citizens who are involved in their communities, register to vote, and model strong character.
For all youth members to adopt a healthy diet, practice healthy lifestyle choices, and make a lifelong commitment to fitness.
Club members ages 5 to 18 enjoy after-school programs from 2:30–6:30 pm and activities that allow them to develop lasting friendships and empower them to make
great futures a reality.
Programs and Activities
Club membership is $25 a year.
Weekly childcare costs is $20-$25.

The Boys & Girls Club of the Mountain Empire depend on generous individual gifts, fundraising events, foundation grants, corporate contributions, and government support to help us reach nearly 946 youth each year. Membership is on a sliding scale that is based on household income. The cost to provide the quality programs and services that BGCME offers greatly exceeds the small amount paid by a child’s family. The funds we raise allow us to keep our services affordable to the communities that need us most.
